Galvanized steel (GI) coil/sheet
Introduce: Galvanized steel coils and galvanized steel sheets are a process for coating non-corrosive zinc on metals such as iron and steel. Since zinc is more reactive than iron or steel, the zinc coating is first corroded to protect the steel or iron matrix. When exposed to the air, zinc reacts with oxygen to form zinc oxide. This further reacts with carbon dioxide to form zinc carbonate, which is a relatively strong material, thereby protecting the steel or iron from damage and preventing further corrosion.
